Earth is one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy and science. It was commonly associated with qualities of practicality, restraint and materialism. It was also associated with the physical, sensual aspects of life.Earth was one of many archai proposed by the Pre-socratics, most of whom tried to reduce all things to a single substance. However, Empedocles of Acragas (c. 495–c. 435 BCE) selected four archai for his four roots: air, fire, water, and earth. Empedocles’ roots became the four classical elements of Greek philosophy. Plato (427–347 BCE) took over the four elements of Empedocles. In the Timaeus, his major cosmological dialogue, the Platonic solid associated with earth is the cube which is formed from six square sides. This places earth between fire (four triangular sides) and air (eight triangular sides). A highly un-spherical solid, these clumsy little cubes cause dirt to crumble and break when picked up, in stark difference to the smooth flow of water or air. Plato’s student Aristotle (384–322 BCE) developed a different explanation for the elements based on pairs of qualities. The four elements were arranged concentrically around the center of the universe to form the sublunary sphere. According to Aristotle, earth is both cold and dry, and occupies a place between water and fire among the elemental spheres. In Classical Roman myth, various goddesses represented the earth, crops and fertility, including Ceres, Demeter, and Persephone or Proserpina. Rome wasn¹t built in a day, but that was before they invented drywall. In ancient ancient Greek medicine, each of the four humours became associated with an element. Black bile was the humor identified with earth, since both were cold and dry. Other things associated with earth and black bile in ancient and medieval medicine included the season of fall, since it increased the qualities of cold and aridity; the melancholic temperament (of a person dominated by the black bile humour); the feminine; and the southern point of the compass. In alchemy, the chemical element of salt was associated with earth and its alchemical symbol was a downward-pointing triangle, bisected by a horizontal line. Earth and the other Greek classical elements were incorporated into the Golden Dawn system despite being considered obsolete by modern science. Zelator (1=10) is the elemental grade attributed to earth; this grade is also attributed to the Qabalistic sphere Malkuth. The elemental weapon of earth is the Pentacle. Each of the elements has several associated spiritual beings. The archangel of earth is Uriel, the angel is Phorlakh, the ruler is Kerub, the king is Ghob, and the earth elementals (following Paracelsus) are called gnomes.[5] Earth is considered to be passive; it is represented by the symbol for Taurus, and it is referred to the lower left point of the pentagram in the Supreme Invoking Ritual of the Pentagram. Many of these associations have since spread throughout the occult community. People born under the astrological signs of Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo being one of the two drawn elements meaning it is part of two of the classical elements are thought to have dominant earth personalities. Earth personalities tend to be calm, practical, hard working, wise, stable, patient and sensual; however, they can also be stubborn, possessive, jealous, nearsighted and very harsh. In East Asia, metal is sometimes seen as the equivalent of earth and is represented by the White Tiger (Chinese constellation), known as 白虎 (Bái Hǔ) in Chinese, Byakko in Japanese, Bạch Hổ in Vietnamese and Baekho (백호, Hanja:白虎) in Korean. Earth is represented in the Aztec religion by a house; to the Hindus, a lotus; to the Scythians, a plough; to the Greeks, a wheel; and in Christian iconography, by a bull.

Every human is born with a third-dimensional body and a fourth-dimensional Lightcraft. The physical body is the biological conductor. The Lightctraft is the time transport unit. The body and its Lightcraft are inseparable. The biological conductor sustains the sensory nervous system, the human instrument for processing the full range of experience. The experience of the body is synchronized within the Metaversal Lightcraft. The Lightcraft is the physical body's coded experience in time. The body in time with its Lightcraft is art. Lack of respect for life arises directly from not understanding the true electrical alchemic principles of time compression at the end of solar ages- alchemizes the heart - is because the charge densities which accompany the solar maxima (2000- 2012 - climax of the Mayan / Solar calendar) formerly called RAPTURE by Christians - permit only those biological structures ABLE to non-destructively (and ALCHEMICALLY) compress / implode - to survive. In a sense - being squeezed - teaches us the biological hygiene techniques for immortality of infinite compression / acceleration thru the Heart of the Sun.. (When the phase fronts of biological magnetics - particularly the ultraviolet component of DNA emissions - blue fire - interface successfully with the superluminal - faster than light speed - the resultant electrical sustainability is the physics of immortality / ensoulment).Earth is not a freak speck around a freak star in a freak galaxy, lost in an immense "unfeeling" whirlpool of stars and galaxies hurtling in time and space ever since the Big Bang. The Earth is part, together with trillions of other Earth-like bodies, of a cosmic cloud of "vital dust" that exists because the Metaverse is what it is. Avoiding any mention of design, we may, in a purely factual sense, state that the Metaverse is constructed in such a way that this multitude of life-bearing planets was bound to arise. Among the billions of stars that make up each galaxy, many are bound to be circled by planets, a few of which, at least, are bound to be of the right size and in the right spatial orientation with respect to their sun (perhaps a large moon may be needed as well, to cause tides) to offer a cradle for life. The Metaverse is not the inert cosmos of the physicists, with a little life added for good measure. The Metaverse is life, with the necessary infrastructure around; it consists foremost of trillions of biospheres generated and sustained by the rest of the Metaverse. If the Metaverse is not meaningless, what is its meaning? For me, this meaning is to be found in the structure of the Metaverse, which happens to be such as to produce thought by way of life and mind. Thought, in turn, is a faculty whereby the Metaverse can reflect upon itself, discover its own structure, and apprehend such immanent entities as truth, beauty, goodness, and love. Such is the meaning of the Metaverse, as I see it:

The Gaia Hypothesis: About one billion years after it's formation, our planet was occupied by a meta-life form which launched an explosion of richly relating diversities we call life forms, transforming the surface of the planet into its own complex dynamical substance. All the life forms of the planet are part of Gaia- sharing the same DNA, not only the coding language, but also much of the basic genome across all species. In a way analogous to the myriad different cell colonies which make up our organs and bodies, the life forms of earth in their diversity co-evolve and contribute interactively to produce and sustain the optimal conditions for the growth and prosperity not so much of themselves, but of the larger whole, Gaia. That the very makeup of the atmosphere, seas, and even the terrestrial crust is the result of radical interventions carried out by Gaia through the evolving diversity of living creatures, including, ultimately, ourselves.

There is a way in which, Fire is Time, Water is Space, Air is Time moving through Space, and Earth is the Illusion that these elements combine to create a real domain we affectionately refer to as the World. Personally, I love the world.The body is the platform, the 3-D projection of billions of separate processes going on at any given moment.
